Since we were established, EYES INC has partnered with many different agencies, corporations, school districts, FCBOs, and the like, among the states in which we have a presence.

EYES, INC is a New Jersey-based, not-for-profit organization, with a national reach. We have been working with underserved communities since 2001. We currently have a collaborative presence through partnerships in South Carolina, New York, New Jersey, California, and Pennsylvania.

Our mission is to fortify the health, education, social welfare, and safety of disadvantaged and underserved youths, teens, young adults, veterans and families across the country through our engagement with other community-based organizations, and other direct service agencies, including youth programs, healthcare initiatives, to include HIV/AIDS awareness and intervention programs; mental health awareness; as well as sexual assault and domestic violence prevention and intervention programs.

We are proud to announce our achievement of starting work with Native American families and youth in California; and we look forward to developing and strengthening our relationship among all tribal areas across the country. (See "Partners" section on this website.)

EYES, INC is focused on research-based and technical assistance projects that will ultimately increase the knowledgebase of stakeholders across the country as it relates to enhancing the capacity of disadvantaged communities. We contend research is vital to providing local and national lawmakers, policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and the like, with substantial information and data, which can be used to facilitate the necessary discussions needed to implement action plans designed to better opportunities for disenfranchised youths, families, individuals and communities, by increasing the viability of community-based services and accessibility to the same.

Our continued interest in providing technical assistance to community-based organizations, service providers, educators, law enforcement, and general stakeholders is aligned with our overall mission to support our communities by supporting organizations and professionals who work tiredlessly each day in the proverbial trenches to ensure those they reach are provided the necessary services and opportunities they need to be successful in life.

Additionally, EYES INC continues to develop, and make available, comprehensive solutions and tools to assist our counterparts with capacity building. This includes providing direct supportive services, from website to database development to professional training.

Our children, families and communities are the reasons for our existence; as such, they are our priority. Their success is paramount to each member of our organization. We are the proverbial village, assisting our children, families, veterans, as well as other community members as needed. Like the sands of an hourglass, the extent to which we exhaust our services and resources to protect and support our charges is cyclical. When the last grain of sand has been exhausted, we do not raise the white flag; we simply flip our vessel and restart the process.

Truth, patience, compassion, and understanding are our trade tools. We use these tools to build the foundation on which we construct strong, resilient, trusting individual, and community relationships with all of our children, their families, and other community members; as we strive continuously to bridge gaps to academic, social, health, personal, and organizational success!

A premiere funding developer/grant writer, Dr. Coppáge has facilitated various seminars and workshops throughout the country in leadership development, non-profit management, digital research, assessment and evaluation; funding development, as well as a host of other business training forums geared towards improving the viability of small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Since 2001, Croix has acquired nearly $60M in federal, state, city, and private funding for small businesses (profit and nonprofit organizations)-nationwide. This is an average acquisition of $3M per year. Of this $60M, he was responsible for the management of over $10M. He has been an instrumental, and a driving force in the design, implementation and management of several Federal and State funded community-based programs and initiatives.

In 2011, Dr. Coppáge began developing the first comprehensive, online data collection and reporting system dedicated to supporting other nonprofit organizations with these challenges. In October 2013, the RADICS Network launched, and is now available to nonprofit organizations across the country.

In 2017, Dr. Coppáge designed the Veterans Achieving Sustainability through Training (VAST), first assisting only homeless female veterans and their children, living in Essex County, New Jersey, to secure training and long-term employment. This program was funded by the U.S. DOL/VET; and over the next the next three years, expanded the programs to include all veterans. In 2021, the program continues to serve homeless veterans and their families, but under the new program name "MOVES" (Maximizing Opportunities for Veterans to Employment and Success). To-date, Dr. Coppáge has secured nearly $4M in Federal funds to help homeless veterans in New Jersey.

In 2005, as Executive Director of EYES Inc, Dr. Coppáge was responsible for establishing the first long-term safe haven for battered women and their children (SafeSpaces), in the largest county of South Carolina-Orangeburg. He augmented this success with establishing the first emergency shelter for runaways (YES!) in the same year, in the same county.

Since 1993, Croix successfully has founded four businesses and implemented nearly 20 new community-based programs, including the highly acclaimed research projects-PAW and MUMP-which evaluated the impact of physical fitness on youth academic development;as well as the longitudinal impact of trained mentors on the overall success of youth, respectively.
